Sant Kabir Das was a prominent poet of Hindi literature. He was a thinker, and social reformer. Kabir das has composed many poems which explains the Indian culture in deep. Be it Sant Kabir Das Dohe or his poetry which is known to us as Kabir Bhajan. He was very critical of organised and individual religions. From time to time he questioned meaningless and unethical practices of all religions. Both Hindus and Muslims threatened him for his ideas, but both Hindus and Muslims claimed him when he died.
Kabir Bhajan and Kabir Poetry
His writings and his poetries is rooted to Indian culture. They cover life’s many aspects and call for God’s love. Kabir wrote in Hindi. His work emphasised commitment, mysticism, and discipline. Kabir’s poems were verbally composed in the 15th century and transmitted viva voce through the 17th century.
